Exceptionally Bitchy

Well I am still pregnant - ugh. I have a 3 year old loud, high energy, independent boy - ugh. Husband works at 4 am so I get woke up at 3 am - ugh. And did I mention I am still pregnant? We also not only have our 3 kids, 2 dogs, 2 ferrets, 2 lizards, snake, 2 cats, 10 chickens, and uncle mac.... but now Q's nephew is staying with us too. He works from 3pm to 11pm. Sleeping past 6 with the kids is impossible. Keeping them quiet is possible. I need a vacation. Going to work was so nice. It was a break from home that I really needed. I am trying to stay a float because I know in my head that no one will hire me at 8 months pregnant. It has me really frustrated! Oh well chin up. This too shall pass.

Some Days Are Better Than Others

Yesterday was a morning from hell. Becks has had this thing with waking up at 5 AM. Apparently Axel has got on board. It's 4:30 AM and I am sitting here drinking Diet Coke and blogging. Sheesh. Anyway, I got woke up super early yesterday. I thought I would get up and make sure the trash was taken down for the garbage man. Then I got a wild hair and decided to mow the grass. The kids were playing, Jax was ready for school, and I was busy mowing. Though I was pouring sweat, I wasn't contracting so I decided to mow the weeds by the orchard, as Q has wanted to do that for a while. I headed over there. I saw Mac come out and Boston was at his heels. Not sure where Boston came from, thinking maybe Mac let him out, I continued to mow. Well there went Boston after the chickens. He found one he wanted and headed after it down into the wash. Heaven help me. By this point I was drenched in sweat and getting way too tired to be dealing with this. Jax needed to head to school so I finished the weeds I was on and headed on my way in the house. I got Jaxi out the door and off to school. Mac was on Boston duty. Becks went in and got in the tub by himself.... I caught him just in time. I got in the shower. Bosty comes running in my bathroom, home safe and sound. Jax had found him by the pomegranate bush. Mac said he had fixed the fence where he thought Boston got out. I fixed the other side where I thought he got out. I put the dogs out back and within 20 minutes a knock at the door. Kelsey was there Boston in hand. He said he had found Boston in the wash pinning down a chicken and plucking its feathers out. Nice little torture dog. So I left Boston in the house. Becks and I had to go get my medication, go to the store, go to the bank, and pick up some paintball stuff. I wasn't about to let Boston back outside. So when we got home he had gotten into some things, but nothing major - so I thought. He had chewed Q's phone charger. Becks was so moody and crying over everything. He ate lunch and went down for a nap. Needless to say, Q was pissed, with good reason. I took Becks and went to town for my ultrasound. When I got home, I went out back to try and find where Boston was getting out. I knew I couldn't keep him in the house all night. I found the spot in the fence and cinderblocked him in. I put the dogs outside he didn't escape again. Whew. Mac said there were a couple chickens missing. I have yet to go count them, but it's possible they won't come back. Here is to hoping a 4:30 wake up call this morning and my Diet Coke make for a less eventful morning.

Week 3 - card games

I hear.... "is this your card" at least 10 times a day.

He flips the deck and thinks he is shuffling and gets so excited.

Yard Work Blues

Q told me not to, but I mowed anyway.

Then I pruned.... then I was pretty close to dead. So I turned on the sprinkler and watched baby play. He loved it. So did I.

Then dad took Becks and Sabaka swimming.

While they swam, I made cinnamon rolls.... yum!

Then we went to back to school night.... we saw this and had to giggle. She is too funny.

First Day of Second Grade

My little second grader. She is growing up way to fast!

Structure...Structure...Structure

Yesterday I decided things need to go back to normal. Monday we were gone school shopping and there was a ton of attitude and melt downs. We needed to be back on our schedule we were on before the kids left. We went to Jaxi's school to check out where he classroom was going to be. Then we went and got gas. After that I washed the car with my little helpers, and they they washed their toys bikes and toys.

After that we had some lunch and Becks held my hand and went downstairs to take a nap. No complaints at all. He was a perfect angel about it. When he got up the kids went out into the pool for some swimming.

Watch shark tank, you might see this Invention By Q. . . only revised, because this one didn't work.

Sabaka had so much fun in the pool. He didn't want to get out. He swam laps back and forth and back and forth. After swimming we went into town and met Carly and Anthony and the kids at the splash pad. My mom, Lyn, and Kyoko(mom's Japanese student) met us there as well. We played and then went to Pizza Factory for dinner. Came home and put Becks to bed..... without a fight again. I love having structure in this little ones life. He does not do well without it. I am just happy to have my happy baby back!

They're Baaaack

The kids got back from Idaho early Saturday morning. Q and I went to get them about 10 since they woke up about 9:30. We have had a very hard time with Beckham. His pottying is much much better, but his attitude is not so great. Routine is not a strong suit of Mike's. Getting back into habits and routines here has been a little rough on him. Plus I think he is making up for lack of sleep while he was gone. Jaxan, on the other hand, has been great. She has her moments, but overall the trip didn't effect her as much.

Yesterday my mom and I must have taken some what-were-we-thinking pills. We decided to take the kids all school shopping. Not the bravest of moves. Becks had some meltdowns, even with chocolate and the rides at the mall. Jaxan was great and knew exactly what she wanted to get. Skyler was seeking a lot of approval. She needed a lot of attention, and I didn't have much to spare. Thank goodness for Grammy. She took Sky to Aeropostole while I let the kids ride the rides in the mall. By the time we met Dad for lunch, Becks was done. Poor baby had had it with shopping, minding and just being. He fell asleep on the way home and slept another 3 hours after that. Then all the kids went and helped Dad clean the pool.

I should have known it was going to be a rough day before we left the house yesterday. I ran downstairs to get the bag so I would have a change of clothes for Becks. Potty trained yes, but that doesn't always mean he does it. When I came upstairs he was showing me his bloody finger. He wouldn't tell me what happened. When I saw a chair pushed up to the counter, a sharp knife and a cut peach - I put two and two together. So I washed it and bandaged it, and at that point we both should have gone back to bed.

Thank goodness for spare change and sister to help entertain little brother.

Today my house needs a MAJOR overhaul. I have laundry that needs done as well as getting Jaxi all put together for school. I am also in charge of chickens and the pool today. Lets hope I don't forget something along the way.

Day Four

We got up and got ready for our last day of swimming lessons. As fun as it has been, I am thankful it's over! The kids both did great. They both graduated so Becks will move on to level 2 and Jax will move on to level 4. They got popsicles and I got them each some bugles and a capri sun. I got a call from Mike saying his mom was not going to Idaho for the reunion. Instead Jason was going up and was willing to take the kids. So we did laundry to get things ready for them to go. Jaxan cleaned her room and Becks took a nice long nap. I ran into town about quarter to 4. We met Q so he could say goodbye to the kids. I ran to the bank and then got the kids each a drink at the gas station. I still hadn't heard where I was going to meet with Lori and Jason, (Katie was in the hospital so Lori wasn't sure if she could leave) so I went to get the kids dinner. Becks wanted McDonalds and Jax wanted Wendys. Right about then Lori said to head to the hospital. We headed on in and got them unloaded from one car to another. I gave them my loves and watched as they walked into the hospital with Lori. I was sad knowing I wouldn't see them for about a week. I went and met Q for dinner and then we went shopping at Costco. When we got home we set up the pool that Corey and Sarina gave us. I can't wait for the kiddies to play in it.

This housewife has a week off from the kids.... post might be limited.

Day Three

Oh the worst day yet by far. I had to fast until after swimming lessons due to having to have blood work done. I was cranky without my tea and diet coke. The kids went to swimming lessons and then they went home with my mom while I went to the hospital. Thank goodness for moms. When I got done I wasn't feeling so well. We went to get some lunch and then we headed home. The monsters wanted to fight and fight and fight all afternoon. I couldn't handle it any longer. I locked them both in their rooms and I sat downstairs and read. What naughties they were. Once I let them out of their cages, I had to keep them separated. So Jaxan was sent downstairs and Becks upstairs. I don't think I could handle 2 days like thi sin one week.

Day Two

This day did not start off as well as yesterday. Mostly my fault. Beckham told me he had put a pull up on last night before bed. Well, I didn't check. So, 5:20 AM our bedroom door opens. Guess who? A 3 year old soaked in pee! Bath done - laundry started and its barely 6 AM. Gonna be a long day!

It's now 11:23 AM. I have done laundry, made dinner, weeded the back yard (just where the pool is going), picked peaches, took the kids to swimming lessons, and got some things from an online garage sale. Once both kids were awake they were fighting non stop. So, I put them to work. Jaxan fed the chickens, got the eggs, and picked up weeds. Beckham helped her with those things, though he was not fond of the weeds. Since they helped so much with things around the house, I told them that we would get a snowie. Of course no snowie place is open at 10:00 when swimming lessons got done, or even 10:30 when we rolled into Hurricane. So, I put them down for quiet time and told them we would go at 1. We are going to go to the library too.

Becks woke up and Jaxan got her books together. We went to the library and then went and got a snowie from Kokomo Sno. The kids played outside and downstairs for the rest of the afternoon.

WE MADE IT!

Day One

Well we ALL survived!! I got some laundry done, swim lessons attended, applications submitted, phone calls made, kids fed, naps taken, dinner made, movie watched, hubs massaged and meds taken. Whew!!! I think the kids are learning I am not a push over. It was harder for me to be mean when I hadn't been home all day. Now they know mama means business!
Tomorrow I have yard work to do so Q can get our pool set up. Peaches to pick. Vaccuming and dinner. Right now I have a chicken carcus in the crockpot. Off to bed!!!

Saturday Madness

So today was laundry, organizing, epic looting, fostering, downloading, power napping, birthday partying, crying, whining, and cuddling. I realized that we defiantly need some structure if I am going to stay home with them and stay sane. Pintrest here I come!

Day One: Jobless and Domesticated

Well I find myself staring at this blank page wondering how I am going to document my transition from working woman to harley housewife. My hubs got a job full time and will be working during the day. I found myself choosing between my family and my workplace. Since I carried those little monsters inside me for 9 months and they are going to be part of my life forever, they clearly won the battle. As unfair of a battle as it was. It's been quite a few years since I was a full time mom. I pray for strength and super glue in this transition. Lucky for me, it's a Saturday and the hubs is home and the kids are having a sleep over at Grammy's tonight.
